Hello everyone and welcome to my first Fae Crate unboxing! May was a very special month for multiple reasons. As you saw in my May OwlCrate Unboxing, there was a lot of new items and the box was extra special for having 2 books. In addition to this special May box, May was also extra special because it was the month that the next book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series was released!
So, just like OwlCrate, Fae Crate is a monthly subscription box that curates their items to Young Adult Fantasy & Science Fiction themes. Each monthly box includes a hardback new release, and a minimum of 4-6 bookish goodies all focused on the theme for the month. Now, for the release of A Court of Frost and Starlight, the creators of Fae Crate were kind enough to make a book hangover recovery kit for the readers! This box is not a part of their monthly subscription boxes and is only a 1 time purchase which is what I bought! So this post will be an exclusive post as I am not subscribed to Fae Crate’s monthly boxes yet. I was blown away by the items in this box and I really hope they do something similar for the final installment of the Throne of Glass series that comes out later this year because I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Without further ado, let’s get into this unboxing!
The first item that I devoured after finishing this book was the High Lord Rhysand Tattoo Cookie by Addie’s Dilly Bug Designs. This cookie featured the Night Court insignia and was the perfect solution to finishing that book. The curators of this box just knew that we would need a sweet treat to deal with our heartbreak of having to wait for the next book in this series.
The next item in the box is this winged Azriel bookmark from Baby My Book. I love how every character seems to have their own curated item. This bookmark is the perfect fit for Azriel as I believe that it suits his character perfectly.
I always love when a box contains bookish candles and this candle was the biggest one that I have received in a subscription box thus far. It is the Lucien #Daddyissues candle from the popular bookish store Novelly Yours. I am in love with this scent. It is definitely reminiscent of the Autumn Court with the hint of Apple and Cinnamon. This candle is pretty powerful and makes your whole home smell cozy.
The next item is just what we need in order to relax after reading A Court of Frost and Starlight. It is the Salty Suriel Bath Salts from The Soap Librarian. I have yet to use this when I draw a bath but it smells heavenly and I am sure that it will remind me of these characters once I am relaxing in the tub.
I am super happy that the relaxation theme continues and I am extra happy that I get to have another bookish bath bomb in this box! This Blood Orange scented bath bomb was inspired by our jewel wearing, deadly warrior Amren.
My second favorite item would have to be this wine glass with the quote Don’t let the hard days win by Fae Crate. The box intended for this item to be used while mourning the loss of another Maas book and encourages box recipients to relax with Mor’s favorite wine glass for a sip of calm. I am not a huge wine drinker but I think I will make an exception so that I have an excuse to use this cup and think about my favorite book characters.
This next item made me literally laugh out loud with what the text says on the mask. This item was created for this recovery kit by Fae Crate and it says Go Away! I am dreaming of Cassian. I believe this eye mask is the perfect complement to the next bedroom related item you will see shortly.
We are almost to the end of this unboxing but didn’t want to save this item for last. This has to be my favorite item that we received in this box. I was so excited to receive it once I saw the sneak preview of this item. This item was designed by artist Gabriella Bujdoso and thanks to her we are able to have this drool worthy huggable Rhysand! If it is not obvious in the picture, this is a pillow case so that we can sleep with our favorite book boyfriend
Next is this fridge magnet from Quote UnQuote Tia of the Winter Court Battle Scene. I currently have this hanging on my fridge and it looks awesome!
And the very final item, that I did not get a picture of is the Archeron Sisters Coloring Sheet by Sncinder Art. This sheet was meant for readers to take a second and calm our minds with this coloring sheet of our favorite sisters.
Well that is all that I have for this unboxing. Please tune in next month for our monthly OwlCrate unboxing and weekly book reviews.
