If you remember my September post of that month’s unboxing then you know that I was so excited for October’s box for a number of reasons:
First, there was going to be bookish socks
Second, the theme in general of Lost in the Bookstore is like the most perfect theme ever especially when OwlCrate promised a box full of essentials needed for getting locked in a bookstore which is truly any real book lover’s secret dream.
Thirdly and the most exciting thing was the promise of TWO exclusive, signed, hardcover books instead of the standard one that subscribers typically receive.
I went a different route with my photos this time and instead of showing each one by one, they will be in a more stylized photo format. I did not get a chance to take a photo of all but if you visit my bookstagram @Readsbannedbooks they will all be there. You can input my handle in the search bar or go there by clicking on the photos on the slider below!
As pictured on my cover photo, we received comfy book inspired socks from Out Of Print. I love fun socks to rock for my #socksunday posts!
I love getting products that you can either drink or eat and this month, OwlCrate definitely didn’t disappoint. Perfect for fall, is this choco mint truffle tea from the shop The Tea Spot. I already had a mug full and believe me that the aroma is soo soothing and the tea delicious! Goes perfectly with the mug that was provided in September’s box.
To go with the loose leaf tea, we also were provided this amazing silicone heart shaped tea strainer. This was exclusively designed for subscribers by Michelle Gray. I love the idea of a reusable tea strainer! Look how cute it matches with the mug from last month’s box!
Like I mentioned earlier, I didn’t get photos of every item so the next two box products are not pictured in this post but I promise that I will take a photo and post it on my bookstagram!
One of the items is this very adorable book carrying case. According to OwlCrate this is a canvas clutch purse designed to be big enough to fit most small books so that they can be protected for reading on the go!
Per usual, this month’s box also included an art print. The design was inspred by Harry Potter and includes the Mirror of Erised and reflected inside is a pile of books and a caged owl. This art print was also designed by Michelle Gray.
Both of the books from this box are titles that I have not heard from but am excited to read more about them!
The first book is called Pride and is by Ibi Zoboi. According to OwlCrate this book is a retelling of the classic Pride and Prejudice. Sounds like it is a modern twist of this classic tale. This book came with an Author letter and exclusive bookmark.
The second book is called Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa. This book is also signed by the author with an added letter and matching bookmark. This book is based on Japanese folklore and culture!
That does it for October’s un-boxing. Come back next month for November’s theme which is Rise from the Ashes.
